Consider/Approve Request from South Fulton Elementary School to
Attach Climbing Wall in School Gymnasium

Background Information:

South Fulton Elementary has requested permission to attach a climbing wall in the school’s gymnasium. As per the request, the wall is 8’ x 20’ and will be equipped with safety mats and a locking system for safety purposes when the equipment is not in use. The Tennessee Internal School Uniform Accounting Policy Manual provides, “The local board must approve the construction or installation of permanent fixtures.”

Staff Recommendation:

As the request is in compliance with rules, regulations, and policy, I recommend approval of the request from South Fulton Elementary.
